We are seeking a skilled Ignition Engineer to design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems using Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation and experience with Ignition software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and configure Ignition-based SCADA systems
- Design and implement custom modules and scripts using Python
- Create intuitive HMI interfaces and data visualization tools
- Integrate Ignition with various databases and third-party systems
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing Ignition installations
- Provide technical support and training to clients and team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on automation projects
- Maintain documentation for Ignition projects and systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 1+ years of experience with Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform
- Proficiency in SQL and database management
- Knowledge of OPC UA and other industrial communication protocols
- Experience with PLC programming and integration
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ignition certification (Core Designer, Advanced Enterprise, etc.)
- Experience with IT/OT network architecture and security
- Familiarity with cloud-based SCADA systems
- Knowledge of other SCADA platforms for comparison and integration
- Experience in relevant industries (e.g., Life Science manufacturing, water/wastewater, oil & gas)
